FAQ
My child is X years old. Is this suitable for them?
Storm to Calm is built for roughly ages 7 to 12: old enough to read it themselves, young enough that drawing and cutting still beats talking. If your child is 5 or 6, you can do the drawing and the games together, and the field guide tells you which activities to start with. Older kids tend to work through it more independently and gravitate to the trigger radar and the reset buttons.
How do I get it after I purchase?
Instantly. As soon as your order completes, you'll get a confirmation email with the download link for the complete workbook and all five bonus gifts. It's a printable PDF, so you can print the whole thing and bind it into your child's own book, print single activities as you need them, or keep it on a tablet. Everything is yours to keep forever.
What if my child refuses to do "one more worksheet"?
This was the first thing I designed around. Storm to Calm doesn't look or feel like schoolwork. It's drawing, cutting, folding, and games, and there's no page in it that reads like a test. The field guide also shows you exactly how to introduce it: never mid-meltdown, always through play, and let them pick which activity comes first. Most kids choose the Anger Catcher or Angry UNO, and once they've done one, the rest gets easier.
How is this different from the parenting books I've already read?
Everything you've read so far was written for you. It lived in your head, in adult language, and it only worked when you were in the room. Storm to Calm is the first meltdown resource built for the child to work through. That's not a small difference. It's the difference between a kid who's been told about their brain and a kid who knows.
My child's meltdowns are really intense. Will this still work?
The more intense the storms, the more your child needs tools that live inside them, and that's exactly what Storm to Calm builds. The field guide also covers safety-first handling for the biggest meltdowns, and is honest about when it's worth bringing in additional support. This isn't a replacement for that; it's what your child has in their hands the rest of the time.
Do we have to do it in order, or every day?
No. There's no schedule and no daily commitment. The field guide suggests a path, but it's designed for your child's pace: one activity a week, or a few at a time, at the kitchen table when there's a calm moment. Most families start with the brain explanation and the Feelings Volcano, then let their child choose what's next.
What if I'm not satisfied?
Then I don't want your money. You have 14 full days to print it, try it with your child, and see what happens at the next storm. If it's not a fit, email my team at info@adhdparenting.com within 14 days of purchase and they'll refund your entire purchase, no questions asked. You'll even get to keep Storm to Calm and all the bonus materials. It's my way of saying thank you for giving it a try.
